This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, desire to succeed in a sales and service culture, confidentiality, and attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously while projecting a positive image to members and co-workers a must. Bachelors degree or equivalent; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years experience as a residential mortgage loan officer and a strong background in the Greater Phoenix Real Estate market is required, credit union experience preferred. The ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously while projecting a positive image to members and co-workers. Must comply with and assist First Credit Union in enforcing the provisions set forth in its Federal Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Member/Customer Identification Policy. Cross-sell services where possible. Perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union.

Duties & Responsibilities: Perform in-person member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cash advances, stop payments, check cashing, purchasing of negotiable items, opening of new accounts, processing check orders, etc., in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Perform additional operational duties including but not limited to: Purchasing vault cash for Teller cash replenishment. ATM/CDM cash replenishments and balancing. Prepare reports for branch balancing. Assist Tellers with member inquiries. Look for opportunities to cross sell additional SunWest products and services while assisting members with transactions. Under dual control process Night Depository, ATM Deposits, and assist with verification of cash from correspondent institution. Balance teller drawer and perform a final balance at the end of the day. Other duties as assigned. Management Responsibilities: Has no supervisory or management responsibility

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum of 7+ years of mortgage origination experience. Credit Union experience preferred but not mandatory. Minimum of 5+ years management experience in the mortgage field, preferably in a sales leadership role. Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. Excellent understanding of Investor Guidelines including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, including but not limited to Correspondent relationships. Comfortable speaking to large groups presenting detailed information on products and services Excellent written and communication skills with attention to detail. Experience managing/coaching a sales team. Must be comfortable with a range of office equipment and software including Microsoft Word/Excel, understanding mortgage system software, computers, copiers and others. High level of commitment to member service with a cooperative and friendly nature toward co-workers and members. Excellent time management. Good problem solving skills and analytical ability. Ability to create and lead in a team environment. Expertise in federal, state, local and mortgage lending laws and regulations. Expertise in building and maintaining referral relationships Office mobility is required throughout the state.
