Provide routine information on credit union services or policies, including eligibility for membership, types of credit union accounts, insurance on loans, loan policies, interest rates, current dividend rates, locations, office hours and telephone numbers. Cross-sell services where possible. Perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union.

Duties & Responsibilities: Perform in-person member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cash advances, stop payments, check cashing, purchasing of negotiable items, opening of new accounts, processing check orders, etc., in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Perform additional operational duties including but not limited to: Purchasing vault cash for Teller cash replenishment. ATM/CDM cash replenishments and balancing. Prepare reports for branch balancing. Assist Tellers with member inquiries. Look for opportunities to cross sell additional SunWest products and services while assisting members with transactions. Under dual control process Night Depository, ATM Deposits, and assist with verification of cash from correspondent institution. Balance teller drawer and perform a final balance at the end of the day. Other duties as assigned. Management Responsibilities: Has no supervisory or management responsibility

As a Member Service Representative in our phone center, you will assist members by providing vital information about credit union products and services such as loans, opening new accounts, cross-selling credit union services and products, following up with members about the status of their accounts, resolving any issues that members may have, account inquires and other transactions while maintaining our high standards of member service. Prior customer service experience and a positive attitude are essential; other sales or financial institution experience is helpful to this position. Provides leadership and ensures the development of the Originators by measuring progress, coaching, counseling and recommending appropriate training as required. Fosters a team environment and encourages new ideas from staff. Recommends changes which lead to greater sales production and an improved work environment. Recommends new products or services that would compliment current product offerings. Exhibits a high level of ethics and professionalism and encourages such in the Origination team. Ensures work of sales team consistently conforms to established quality control standards. Leads Origination team in developing outside sales efforts. Assists in resolving escalated member concerns. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum of 7+ years of mortgage origination experience. Credit Union experience preferred but not mandatory. Minimum of 5+ years management experience in the mortgage field, preferably in a sales leadership role. Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. Excellent understanding of Investor Guidelines including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, including but not limited to Correspondent relationships. Comfortable speaking to large groups presenting detailed information on products and services Excellent written and communication skills with attention to detail. Experience managing/coaching a sales team. Must be comfortable with a range of office equipment and software including Microsoft Word/Excel, understanding mortgage system software, computers, copiers and others. High level of commitment to member service with a cooperative and friendly nature toward co-workers and members. Excellent time management. Good problem solving skills and analytical ability. Ability to create and lead in a team environment. Expertise in federal, state, local and mortgage lending laws and regulations. Expertise in building and maintaining referral relationships Office mobility is required throughout the state.

Qualifications Preferred: High School graduate with 6 plus months of cash handling experience.
